Nurettin Canikli (born May 15, 1960 in Alucra, Giresun Province) is Minister of Customs and Trade of Turkey and a Member of Parliament for Giresun of the ruling Justice and Development Party.〔〔 After finishing the İmam Hatip school in Giresun, he studied Economics at the Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University graduating with a Bachelors's degree. Canikli obtained a Master's degree in Finance from University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom.〔〔 He worked in various positions in the Ministry of Finance.〔 He was a columnist at the daily Yeni Şafak.〔 Canikli became one of the co-founders of the Justice and Development Party. In the 2002 general election, he was elected Deputy of Giresun.
